UKSOL Gains MCS British Quality Standards Mark

UKSOL solar PV modules have now been certified by MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) in the UK.

MCS is a British standards organisation and is there to create and maintain standards that allow for the certification of products, installers and their installations.  Associated with these standards is the certification scheme, run on behalf of MCS by Certification Bodies who hold UKAS accreditation to ISO 17065.

MCS certifies low-carbon products and installations used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources.  MCS is a mark of quality.  Membership of MCS demonstrates adherence to these recognised industry standards; highlighting quality, competency and compliance.

The approved UKSOL poly and mono crystalline solar PV modules will shortly be uploaded to the MCS list of approved manufacturers and products website (https://mcscertified.com/product-directory/) which will show the relevant MCS certification number.

Andrew Moore, the UKSOL founder and CEO, commented on the news by saying, “UKSOL solar PV modules have been certified to IEC standards by TUV-SUD for many years.  However, we felt it was finally necessary to get the MCS rubber stamp on top of the pile of other standards certificates we already have, mainly to reassure the growing UK solar market that UKSOL ticks all the relevant international standards boxes.  We made this decision despite the current lack of government financial incentives in Britain to boost PV installations for homes, organisations and businesses.”
