Climate Change and Business. 2021 is the year of the COP26 Summit. The UK Government, as host of the Summit in Glasgow, is determined that the world will convene to agree ambitious climate action – with businesses having a key role in bringing about ‘real world’ results. With countries across Latin America and the Caribbean being on the frontline of climate change, regional governments are looking for solutions and partners across a range of sectors – the IFC estimates region’s climate smart investment potential is over $2.6 trillion by 2026. In this session you will learn about the UK Government’s ambitious Clean Growth plans, about the relevance of the UK ‘offer’ in Latin America and the Caribbean, and hear from regional and UK businesses on the potential for commercial success.
